Another factor that determines price is the method you choose to do. Every method is differently priced.
Another factor to determine pricing is, is there any customization needed, coloring, toning or perming? Yes I do specialize in color too. You always want your extensions to match your natural texture. I do offer straight, curly, and wavy hair extensions.
MAINTENANCE is needed for every method except k-tips, but there is still an appointment needed for checkup to makesure your natural hair is doing good and that your taking care of these properly. Maintenance is every 4-6 weeks. If you go past 6 weeks there is an extra charge.

Itip/ microbead
From $1750 and up
At Chicago Hair Extensions by Gina, our Itip installation service is a little different than you might find elsewhere. Very lightweight and discrete.
I tip
❤️ Each strand of hair is pre tipped with polyurethane (a soft rubber like material). This allows for flexibility, additional durability, longer lifespan and a cushion against the natural hair.
❤️ This is applied with a small reusable bead (made of copper and colored to match your natural hair) which is crimped Down and flattened. It will stay in between 4-6 weeks until it’s time to maintenance. you can color your hair with these in, anything above 10 volume the hair will need to be removed and reapplied after the color.
❤️ It usually take about 100-200 grams of hair 100-200 Pieces for a full head for length and volume. That number can vary depending on your natural hair length, density and desired look.
❤️ ZERO heat, zero tape and zero glue.
❤️ The cost usually starts at about $1,750 and goes up from there up to $5,000.
❤️ Maintenance usually are around $250-600. When installed and maintained correctly these WILL NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE NATURAL HAIR.
❤️ I-Tips: Perfect for clients who don’t want the use of adhesives. Full Point and Half Point Options. Suitable for all hair types. Half points are theperfect solution for fine haired clients. They can also be used for fine highlighting effects.Reusable up to a year (or longer) with proper care & maintenance.360° movement & mobility, which acts like natural hair. Perfect for clients who wear their hair up or down.
Hand tied weft
$2200 and up
•Wefts are considered a full coverage method and a great way to add some serious hair in a short amount of time
•Takes about 2 hours from start to finish on a full application.
• Dreamcatchers wefts are invisible, light and still give you that full coverage.
•The way I install these they need to be maintenanced! This happens every 4-6 weeks. It take about 15-25 minutes. (Thank goodness because a saggy track is not so fun) Every few move-ups we need to do a reapplication however if the wefts are still good they we can reuse as need be.
•You can color your hair with these extensions in your head
•You can wear your hair up with them in however you will just have to be strategic in your top, they are mainly to be worn down.
•The hair will last 6 months to a year with proper at home and In Salon care.
•ANY extensions can damage your hair if not applied correctly or taken care of appropriately in the salon or at home. Follow the rules, keep your natural hair healthy.
Hair extensions maintenance
$250-650
As your hair grows, the cylinders attaching the hair Extensions will move further away from your scalp along with your own hair. This can increase the traction on your own hair. Therefore, it is necessary for you to return to your certified stylist every 4 to 6 weeks, or as advised by your stylist. I-Tips should be adjusted every 4-6 weeks. This is where the extensions are pushed up using the same cylinders. Clients should have a re-fusion, where extensions are taken out completely and re-installed with new cylinders, every 12-18 weeks. A re-fusion gives the client’s hair an opportunity to rest, since you will take new sections when you reinstall. This is an alternating service: adjustment then re-fusion, & repeat. This process of routine maintenance makes the Itip system for most hair types & is non-damaging compared to other hair extension systems.
